a day at work.

its tough for me to know
to speed up work or go slow

the helpdesk cases keep piling
the analysis is bloody tiring

offshore tries their best to catch up
client wants expectations to match up

oen of these days is just crazy
making it seem that i am lazy

just when it seems i can manage
someone comes to cause more damage

just when i put things in control
i am told i have a minor role.

Sprit

Sweet is the nectar
Peeled from your lips
Is that why it flowed
Right into my mouth
Its taste is sugary
That much I can say.

Gross Salary - Gross Disappointment

Never thought that I would be writing a poem about this one.

Ages and Wages never to be asked
never to be told
Unless you are too bold
or your intent is masked.

Think with your brain (revision and suggestions by Annette)

Vic HADN'T met a girl so bold
SO THIS TALE OF WOE has to be told.

Vic was a guy WHO WAS hard to please
Sad was a girl WHO put guys at ease

ONE SUMMER'S day, they were feeling upbeat,
IT WAS BY FATE they happened to meet.

They met on a trek somewhere in the hills.
Vic carried her bag and paid all her bills.

Vic had a girlfriend FAR away
Sad had a boyfriend one FOR EACH day

The guys around them teased YOUNG Vic
AND Sad joined in just for A kick.

Vic started TO SEE her in a FAVOURABLE light
SO CAREFULLY planned a trek overnight.

That was the night their passions unfurled
WITH BODIES TOGETHER they lied and curled.

Sad SUCCEEDED TO GET HIS PASSIONS IGNITED.
All her flattery made him FEEL LOVED AND excited.

When Sad COMPLIMENTED his beautiful smile.
He dreamed of walking her down the aisle.

Sad loved to tease and I pity Vic's plight
FOR till the end, he could not see the light.

He decided to give the affair a whirl,
AND broke off with his OTHER girl.

Off he went running to see HIS Sad,
Only to find she was REALLY QUITE mad.

How could you do this to me?, she CRIED
AND TAKE me for granted, she SADLY SIGHED.

HE THEN TURNED TO HIS FIRST TRUE LOVE
BUT SHE CAME TO HER SENSES AND GAVE HIM THE SHOVE

Now he felt SHAMED AND ALL ALONE,
BOTH OF HIS LOVES HE'D SIMPLY THROWN.

He promised himself, he would never again
THINK WITH HIS HEART AND NOT WITH HIS BRAIN

Some of the changes for this poem were suggested by Annette.

Think with your brain.

Vic had not met a girl so bold
Oh, this tale has to be told.

Vic was a guy very hard to please
Sad was a girl she put guys at ease

On a day, they were feeling upbeat
By accident they happened to meet.

They met on a trek somewhere in the hills.
Vic carried her bag and paid all her bills.

Vic had a girl friend stowed away
Sad had a boy friend one every day

The guys around them teased Vic
Sad joined in just for the kick.

Vic started seeing her in a different light
One day they planned a trek overnight.

That was the night their passions unfurled
In each other’s arms they lied and curled.

Sad did manage to get Vic delighted.
All her flattery made him excited.

When Sad, mentioned about his beautiful smile.
He dreamed of walking with her down the aisle.

Sad loved to tease and I pity Vic’s plight
Till the end, he could not see the light.

He decided to give the affair a whirl,
Promptly he broke off with his girl.

Off he went running to see Sad,
Only to find she was a bit mad.

How could you do this to me?, she wailed
Took me for granted, she exhaled.

Now he tried to get back with his gal
She no longer wanted him to her pal.

Now that he felt lonely and desolate.
With neither of them could he tesselate.

He promised himself, he would never do that again.
If you think with your dick, you can't think with your brain.
